Amar is the head of Team GTR Customs, he looks after the body and paint aspect of all the Team GTR cars. A close friend of the group and been in the trade for several years. Amar has resprayed the Shah's GTR twice, satin black followed by two-tone blurple. He is a master at fabrication with no challenge too big. The huge 135mm arch extensions on the Kazama edition S15 is testament of his skills, he has full bodyshop and fabrication facilities.
Byron, originally from South Africa, has a unique sense of humour and fetish for womens ASSets. Byron's Impreza is one of the faster cars out of the group with 504bhp / 450 lb/ft Torque. His Impreza has had several modifications and runs a Syvecs S6 engine management system. Byron is loud, his car is loud, he's always willing to race.By day Byron is self employed as a Plumber, investing most of his spare income and time into his Impreza
Clarkey lives for motorsport; Introduced to Group B Rally cars from a young age by his father, it was inevitable that Clarkey wasn't going to be a football fan, but more living and breathing the motorsport scene. Up until the present day Clarkey has competed in a number of diciplines, including Drag, Drift, Grassroots, Hill Climb and Circuit Racing; To further add to his extensive CV, Clarkey has also participated in a number of TV Adverts, Films, Demos, Supercar Experience Days and One to One Driver Tuition. Since selling his 600BHP R33 GTR; Clarkey has embarked on building a competition spec 400bhp S15 ready for 2016 and the R32 to soon venture back on the road packing a nice 700bhp punch.
If you there was a thing such as a phrase dictionary, under 'attention to detail' you'd find El. Whatever he's interested in, El will learn in extreme detail. Whether its new F1 technology, or wheels. He's a purist when it comes to cars, he's not into big and brash, but subtle improvements. He is a fountain of knowledge and watches and shares a lot of the documentaries. El drives an Evo VI Tommi Makinen edition. It's in pristine condition and only used during the summer.By day El is an accountant, which is a perfect role for him, with his high attention to detail.
Unlike the majority of the Team GTR members, El doesn't currently own a Japanese Car. He shares the same love and passion for cars and his Seat Leon Cupra R produced almost 300bhp with an array of chassis improvements making it extremely quick around the track. With an ASBO and a new house on the cards, Els has sold his Seat Leon Cupra R. But still a firm member of the Team GTR family.By day El is Online Marketing Manager for the same company as Shah, so gets to geek out at work about cars.
Hom owns GTBitz which is a GTR specialist based in Manchester. Hom who grew up in Dubai has been in the automotive scene from a young age and been drag racing internationally for over 10 years.
Nippa runs a TeamGTR's sister club Team Midz. He owns and bulit a 600BHP Impreza which snaps driveshafts on a regular basis.
Ray, owner of RMS Japworx has been building a Civic Turbo FWD dragster. The car weighs just over 800kg and produces over 800bhp.
Rich aka 'the muscle' is always around when an engine needs removing, or a gearbox, or a bolt needs sheering off. Rich drives a Rev 2 MR2 Turbo which is going through a complete engine rebuild. Engine has a no expense spared approach and will be one of the only MR2 Turbo's running with a Borg Warner EFR turbo, which features the latest in turbo technology.By day Rich is a bricklayer, and claims to be the fastest bricklayer in south east London. He also claims that yellow is the fastest colour.
Ricky is known for building mental cars and for his sheer talent with metal work. Working as a fabricator for SportsWagon UK, the well known high end vintage Porsche specialist, Ricky uses his extensive skills to restore cars worth upto a stagering £2 Million and on occassion prepares GT3 Cup cars for competition. Ricky's floor on the other hand is that he buys new wheels more than your missus does shoes! we are pretty sure he has shares in most wheel manufacturers.
Shah was born car mad, he started competitively drag racing at Santa Pod in his Nissan Skyline R33 GTR in 2008. This keen interest in drag racing and Shah's passion for motorsport led him to found Team GTR the same year. The Skyline R33 GTR has gone through various transformations with different colours and engines through the years. The R33 GTR has competed at events at Santa Pod, and rally's across Europe. Most recently the R33 GTR has had a fully forged RB26/30 built which will be tested and abused in 2015. Shah is a beginner at drifting and owns one of two Kazama Autos built S15's which was cover car for Japanase Performance Mag. Shah is also building a one-off Carbon bodied Altezza powered by an RB26 engine, this has got the car enthusiast scene excited and will hopefully be on a stand in 2015.
By day, Shah is the CEO of digital agency called Bravr. By night whatever spare time he has, is spent in the garage working on his cars.
Shaun has a strong command of the English language, he is intelligent, witty and very sharp. He is often the source of amusement at the expense of the people around him, but its all fun banter. Where most will have detailed knowledge of a particular car, usually the one that they own, Shaun on the other hand has a wealth of knowledge across vehicles of all disciplines.
Tim, loves drum & bass, drifting, bikes and cars. He's the cheeky chappy of the group, good banter, funny jokes. He's owned two drift cars, the most recent being the awesome and loud Gold S14a. You certainly hear him coming a few minutes before you see him. Tim loves cable-ties, and his cable-tie stitching is as good as a surgeons. In 2014 Tim aims to get better at drifting alongside Shah at Lydden Hill. Watch this space for drift video uploads.
Tim by day works in print, he's knows everything there is to know about print, and provides the decals for the Team GTR cars.
Wal is the master technician for Team GTR. He's probably one of the nicest guys on the planet, and would do anything for anyone. He is always present at events like Japshow, USC, track days typically under a bonnet or under a car ensuring all the cars are safe to run. He's got over 20 years of mechanical experience, and the guy the group goes to for mechanical work
By day Wal is a Master technician for Mazda, by night he's on the XBOX killing 12 year olds (virtually!) on games like Call of Duty.
